Nepal Home Minister Rawal leaves for India

Nepal's Home Minister Bhim Rawal left Kathmandu on a four-day official visit to India at the invitation of the Indian Home Minister Mr. P.Chidambaram. Talking to newsmen at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, Mr Rawal said, issues relating to bilateral security cooperation in controlling cross-border crimes like smuggling of contraband goods including drugs, human trafficking, arms smuggling and anti-social activities will figure during his meetings with Indian leaders.Our Kathmandu Correspondent reports that Nepalese Home Minister's visit to India comes a day after External Affairs Minister S.M.Krishna concluded his three-day official visit to Nepal. A joint statement issued after the visit said both India and Nepal have decided to work closely to control cross-border crimes such as smuggling of fake Indian currency, human trafficking and arms smuggling and to combat terrorism.
