Nepal hikes petrol, diesel price

In Nepal, the price of diesel and kerosene has been increased by four rupees each. The Nepal Oil Corporation, NOC, the state-owned oil monopoly, has said, the increase is effective from today. With the hike, the prices of diesel and kerosene have reached 93 rupees per litre from the earlier 89 rupees. The price of petrol, cooking gas and aviation fuel has not been hiked for now.NOC has announced hike in the prices, saying it is compelled to push the rates up as its monthly projected loss has increased to over 1.33 billion rupees.
