Nepal govt to provide 25,000 nepali rupees to quack victims

In Nepal, the Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to provide 25,000 nepali rupees (Rs 25,000 as immediate relief for the families of the deceased victims of the earthquake that struck on Sunday evening. Official figures have said that six persons lost their lives while unofficial reports put the toll in Nepal at eleven. According to a press release, a meeting chaired by the acting Prime Minister, and Minister for Home Affairs Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar has decided to recommend an additional one lakh rupees for the families of the deceased. The ministry has also decided to form a team to gather information on loss of property. The earthquake affected twenty-two districts in the country. Most of the destruction has been reported from the eastern districts of Taplejung , Panchthari, Ilam ,Tehrathum and Sankhuwasabha .Landslides triggered by the quake has blocked some of the roads. Reports say displaced families are taking shelter with their relatives, neighbours and school buildings.
