Nepal Govt to pass ordinance Budget now

Nepal's caretaker Government has decided to pass the Budget for the current financial year through an ordinance. This was decided at an emergency meeting of the Cabinet held late last night after Government's bid to introduce the Budget in Parliament was obstructed by the opposition Unified CPN (Maoist) lawmakers.President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav prorogued the Parliament Session following a meeting with the caretaker Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal late on Friday to pave way for passage of the Budget through an ordinance. AIR Kathmandu correspondent reports the Government would announce the Budget this afternoon through an ordinance as the country is passing through a serious economic crisis.
