In Nepal, the Constitution Amendment Bill has been tabled in Parliament to address the grievances of agitating Madhesi parties and other ethnic groups in the country. <br/><br/>The bill presented yesterday, seeks to end a year-long political crisis in the country. AIR correspondent reports that the Bill proposes to amend provisions related to redrawing provincial boundaries, recognition of various languages, itizenship and representation in the National Assembly. <br/><br/>An official at the Parliament Secretariat informed that the Bill has been brought as per the Article 296 of the Constitution. The bill comes as Madhesi have led months-long protest seeking better representation in the Parliament and the federal structure of the Constitution.
