In Nepal, former Prime Minister and Coordinator of Naya Shakti Party Baburam Bhattarai has criticised awarding of Budhigandaki Hydropower project to a Chinese company. <br/><br/>Addressing a press conference in Kathmandu, Mr Bhattarai said, previous Pushpa Kamal Dahal-led government violated prevailing laws and processes while awarding the contract of Budhigandaki project to China Gezhouba Water & Power (Group) Co Ltd (CGGC). <br/><br/>He urged the government to scrap the contract and develop the project utilising own resources. Mr Bhattarai questioned the competence and credibility of the Chinese company.
