Nepal Foreign Minister Prakash Sharan Mahat meets Sushma Swaraj

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Nepal Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat today met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj in New Delhi. Both the Ministers held wide ranging talks on issues of mutual interest, covering the entire gamut of bilateral relations, including the upcoming high-level exchanges between the two countries. <br/><br/>The two sides reiterated their commitment to further strengthen and deepen age-old, close and friendly ties in trade and mutual investments, defense and security, economic and development partnership, infrastructure development, energy and water resources.<br/>Meanwhile, Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda will be visiting India on a four day visit from Thursday. <br/><br/>This would be Mr Prachanda's first bilateral visit abroad after assuming office last month. He will be accompanied by a high level delegation. During the visit, Mr Prachanda would hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and call on President Pranab Mukherjee. The visit of the Nepalese Prime Minister will provide an opportunity for both sides to discuss issues of mutual interest and concern, as well as seek ways to strengthen the age old, close and friendly ties between the two countries in diverse sectors.
