In Nepal the counting of votes for parliament and provincial assemblies under First Past the Post is in the final stage. Left alliance is heading for a landslide victory. Out of 165 constituencies of House of Representative, results of 151 seats have been declared so far. <br/><br/>Left alliance has won 107, ruling Nepali Congress able to get just 21 seats and others have won in 23 places.. Results of 296 seats of provincial assemblies, out of 330 have also been declared. Left alliance has got 214, Nepali Congress 38 and others got 44 seats. <br/><br/>Former Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre ) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has won from Chitwan-3 parliamentary constituency. Now all eyes are on counting of votes under proportionate representation. Besides 165 seats of First Past the Post, the 275 member lower house of parliament also has 110 seats of proportional representation. Similarly state assemblies in seven provinces have 220 seats of proportionate representation.<br/><br/>The left alliance is also leading in proportionate votes of parliament and most of the state assemblies. The historic elections for House of Representative and state assemblies were held in two phases on November 26 and December 7.
