In Nepal, the counting of votes for parliament and provincial assemblies under First Past the Post is in the final stage. Out of 165 constituencies of House of Representative, results of 156 seats have been declared so far.<br/><br/> The Left alliance of CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) is heading for biggest political victory in recent times in Nepal. The alliance won 110 seats and leading in 7 places. Ruling Nepali Congress has won just 21 seats. <br/><br/>The two major parties of Madesh, Sanghiya Samajwadi Forum Nepal and Rashtriya Janta Party Nepal have performed well. Both parties have won 10 seats each. Former Prime Minister and CPN (Maoist Centre ) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda has won from Chitwan-3 parliamentary constituency. <br/><br/>Results of 309 seats of provincial assemblies, out of 330 have also been declared. Left alliance has won 224, Nepali Congress 39 and others got 46 seats. Meanwhile, counting of votes under proportionate representation is underway. <br/><br/>The left alliance is also leading in proportionate votes of parliament and most of the state assemblies. Besides 165 seats of First Past the Post, the 275 member lower house of the parliament has 110 seats of proportional representation. <br/><br/>Similarly state assemblies in seven provinces have 220 seats of proportionate representation. The historic elections for House of Representative and state assemblies were held in two phases on November 26 and December 7.
