In Nepal, counting of votes for 110 seats of House of Representative and 220 of state assemblies under proportional representation is underway. Around 85 percent votes have been counted so far. <br/><br/><br/>Left alliance is leading. As per the latest reports CPN (UML) has got more than 30 lakh votes. Nepali Congress is on the second place with more than 29 lakh popular votes. Left alliance partner CPN (Maoist Center) has got over 12 lakh votes. <br/><br/><br/>The two major parties of Madhes, Sanghiya Samjawadi Forum Nepal and Rashtriya Janata Party Nepal are on fourth and fifth position. More than one crore voters had exercised their franchise in the elections. Nepal Election Commission Spokesperson Navraj Dhakal told AIR that counting is expected to be completed today and results are likely to be announced within 2-3 days. Results of 165 seats of parliament and 330 of state assemblies in seven provinces under direct election have already been declared. <br/><br/><br/>Left alliance has won maximum seats. The historic elections for lower house of parliament and provincial assemblies were held in two phases on November 26 and December 7.
