In Nepal, the Constitutional Committee on Wednesday decided to extend the tenure of the Dispute Resolution sub-Committee in order to settle the issues of the Constituent Assembly .The sub- committee is headed by UCPN ( Maoist ) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.The sub-committee is to submit the progress on the issues every ten days to the Constitutional committee. The sub- committee was formed out to iron out differences in the statute drafting process and had expired on the 27th of May. The sub-committee has been given the task to resolve the issues seen in state restructuring commission, among other disputed issues.The Constitutional Committee held its meeting for the first time since the political parties stuck a deal to pave the way for the extension of the Constituent Assembly for three months .The meeting also decided to hold the meetings of the Constitutional Committee and sub- committee simultaneously to resolve the various issues.
