Nepal and China will hold a joint military exercise from Sunday. This is the first ever joint military drill between Nepal Army and the People's Liberation Army of China. <br/><br/>According to a statement issued by Nepal Army, the drill is aimed to give continuity of joint military training and exercises with neighbouring countries and friendly nations and preparing against terrorism that has posed as a serious security threat globally. <br/><br/>The 10-day long exercise named 'Sagarmatha Friendship-2017' will also focus on other common interests including disaster management. <br/><br/>The statement further said that such multilateral and bilateral exercises will provide opportunities to both the armies in exchanging their professional skills, boosting their capabilities and further strengthening the diplomatic and military ties between the two nations.<br/>
