In Nepal, the birth of lord Krishna -Janamasthami is being celebrated today with religious fervor. Large number of devotees are offering prayers and pujas at the Krishna temple , at Patan in Kathmandu valley and other temples around the country. The day is commemorated as victory of good over evil and to spread peace, harmony and prosperity. Devotional songs, Bajans, kirtans mark the day. The President, Dr. Ram Baran Yadav in his message has expressed the hope that the festival would unite the country and spread the message of peace.
