In Nepal, several functions were organized in different parts of country today to celebrate the 197th birth anniversary of the Adikabi Bhanubhakta Acharya, the legendary literary figure who translated Ramanyan into Nepali language.<br/><br/>Over one hundred litterateurs and poets from Gorkha, Lamjung, Tanahun, Kaski, Dhading and Kathmandu gathered in Chundi Ramgha of Tanahun, the birthplace of Adikabi Bhanubhakta Acharya, to celebrate Adikab's birth anniversary today.<br/><br/>In the capital Kathmandu, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal, Constituent Assembly Chairman Subash Chandra Nemwang and Cultural Affairs Minister Dr. Minendra Rijal, were among prominent figures who garlanded the statue of Adikabi Bhanubhakta and paid rich tributes to the noted litterateur, recalling his contribution to the development of Nepali literature at a function at Ranipokhari today<br/><br/>Poetry recitation competition, symposiums, processions carrying excerpts Ramayana written in Nepali by the renowned poet and cultural programmes were the highlight of the daylong celebration.
