In Nepal, India's Ambassador Manjeev Singh Puri unfurled the tri colour at Indian Embassy in Kathmandu. <br/><br/>After unfurling the national flag Ambassador Puri read out the President's message. <br/><br/>On this occasion, 30 ambulances and 6 buses were gifted to various health and educational institutions. He also distributed cheques and blankets to dependents of ex servicemen and handicap ex servicemen. <br/><br/>Ambassador also gifted books to many educational institutions. Hundreds of people including Indian nationals and people of Indian origin participated in the independence day celebrations. <br/><br/>Excellent performance by Kendriya Vidhayalya, Modern Indian School, Indian Cultural Centre and Nepalese Army Band enthralled the people with patriotic fervour.
