In Nepal, 24 candidates have been elected unopposed to the National Assembly, the upper house of the Parliament. <br/><br/>Now 52 candidates are in fray for the election of remaining 32 seats of National Assembly which is scheduled on February 7. <br/><br/>According to Election Commission, these candidates were declared elected after withdrawal of names. All the eight members from Province 2 have been elected unopposed. <br/><br/>The Upper House will have total 59 members. All seven provinces will elect eight members each through an Electoral College comprising of members of State Assemblies and Chiefs and Deputy Chiefs of local bodies. <br/><br/>Remaining three members will be appointed by the President on recommendation of the government.
