BJP has said that the Shiv Sena is its trusted ally and negotiations are on with the party over seat sharing for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections.

Party in-charge of Maharashtra, Rajiv Pratap Rudy told media in New Delhi that there is a proposal which has been given by the BJP state leadership to the Shiv Sena and he will comment on the matter only after receiving the feedback from the alliance partner.

He said after giving seats to smaller parties under the alliance, the remaining seats should be equally divided between Shiv Sena and BJP.
