He was replying to a question about the West Bengal Education minister's recent complain that this year the students appearing for NEET in vernacular languages had faced tougher questions than the ones set in English and Hindi.<br/><br/>Mr Javadekar said that his ministry is in discussion stage about 'one nation one test' in engineering. The Minister also said the Centre will soon introduce a etention policy for students in classes 5 and 8 with support rom states. <br/><br/>He said, in a proposed bill to be passed in Parliament, power has been given to the states to have examinations for students at fifth and eighth standards in March. <br/><br/>If students fail, they will be given one last chance to appear in an examination in May. He said, if a student fails in both attempts, he/she would be detained. Mr Javadekar also adding that 25 states have already given consent to the move.
