Minister of State for Health Faggan Singh Kulaste has said, there is need to provide affordable health care in the rural areas of the country. Speaking in a conference on Rural Health and Sustainable Development in India, Mr Kulaste said, improving rural health system is essential to ensure overall development of the country. <br/><br/>The minister urged the doctors to choose rural destinations without any hesitation so that better health services do not remain a mere dream for rural population. He urged NGOs and other sectors to join hands with the government to give impetus to health sector. <br/><br/>The Minister said, government is doing every effort to increase the cover of health services to every Indian. Mr Kulaste said, several schemes are there to benefit and provide timely health services to the people in rural as well as urban population. He said the aim of the government is to ensure that every patient gets timely treatment even if he cannot afford it.
