Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu today said that there is a strong need to promote agriculture sector along with industrial development to maintain a balance. Addressing MoUs signing ceremony in Global Rajasthan Agritech summit, the minister said that agriculture is the basic culture of the country. <br/><br/>He said that government is making all efforts to promote agriculture in the country. The minister said that the small scale industries to be set up in villages in the agri sector will not only boost the local economy but also enhance the prospects of the farming sector. <br/><br/>Mr. Naidu said that along with traditional farming, there is a need to incorporate and promote silviculture and fish culture among others. He added that the Centre would also help to setup smart villages in the state. 38 MoUs worth Rs 4400 crore have been signed during the event.
