The Indian Air Force Chief says, given the hostile neighbourhood situation, there is a need to maintain a constant vigil to counter the threats. Addressing the second biannual IAF Commanders’ Conference in New Delhi on Tuesday, Air Chief Marshal PV Naik mentioned of the threats that could manifest in unpredictable ways. Spelling out his vision for the IAF, the Air Chief elaborated on the roadmap set forth to achieve the objectives.AIR correspondent reports, the Commanders are deliberating on key issues encompassing operational, maintenance and administrative aspects. The IAF is vigorously pursuing its modernization plans to enhance its strategic capabilities. The IAF Vice Chief, Air Officers Commanding-in-Chief of IAF’s seven Commands and Principal Staff Officers at Air Headquarters are among those attending the four-day conference.
