Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has stressed the need to take steps to encourage people to use more accounted money and discourage the use of unaccounted currency. Addressing a gathering on the occasion of Foundation Day of Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India Limited, he said currency kept in an accounted way is a symbol of honest wealth and will help in keeping check on black money. Mr Jaitley said, intensive use of plastic currency is the eventual target for any growing economy. Finance Minister further said that as a result of financial inclusion, more and more households are now connected to banks and RuPay cards, which have been issued to people even to those below the poverty line. He said that there is a need to launch a campaign to create an awareness among them for using more and more RuPay cards which can be a game changer for the country.
