Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad has said the sentiments of the people from all regions in Andhra Pradesh would be taken into consideration before taking a final decision on statehood for Telangana.Speaking to reporters in Hyderabad on Friday, he said arriving at national consensuses on such contentious issue was not an easy task. Mr. Azad, who is the State Congress party affairs in-charge, said the issue would have national impact.He said the Centre need to consult political parties on the issue and asked his party leaders not to take any hasty decisions. Congress leaders from the Telangana region, including some state ministers, have announced that they would be tendering theirresignations on Monday alleging that the Centre did not respond to their demand for a clear statement on initiating process to carve out the Telangana state.Telugu Desam party leaders from the region also announced that they would follow the Congress leaders if they tender resignations. Telangana Rastra Samithi has welcomed the decision by both parties and called for intensifying agitation for statehood for Telangana.
