Need to bring out people engaged in agriculture sector: Pawar

NCP President and former Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar has said, there is a need to bring out people engaged in the agriculture sector. He said, ideally, only one person from a family should be involved in agriculture. <br/><br/>Speaking at a function in Pune yesterday evening, Mr. Pawar said that of the total 110 crore population in the country, 61 crore depend on agriculture sector. He emphasized the need to reduce the burden on agriculture sector. He said, it is a great challenge before the agriculture sector to increase production.<br/><br/>Mr. Pawar was speaking after receiving the prestigious Lokmanya Tilak Award bestowed by Lokmanya Tilak Smarak Trust. The Trust selected Mr Pawar for the award for his significant contribution as agriculture minister.
