The Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan today called for a wholehearted support for people living with HIV and pray for those who fell victim to the disease. Making a reference on the occasion of World AIDS Day, she stressed the need to augment the efforts for containing the dreaded disease.

Mrs Mahajan said, AIDS still remains a tough challenge for mankind. She said, globally more than three crore and forty lakh people are living with HIV and about three crore and fifty lakh people died of it.
