Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises Anant Geete has said that there is a need to adopt a new technology from the world to make Indian Public Enterprises more competitive in the era of globliasation. Addressing the gathering at the two days international workshop on the performance evaluation of State Owned Enterprises,SoEs in New Delhi the Minister said that in India, there is no dearth of talent but the SoEs are struggling due to lack of new technology. He said India should prepare itself to compete with the Public and private Enterprises of developed nations in the coming years. The workshop was conducted to understand the practices and policies adopted by different countries in the existing models of governance in State Owned Enterprises.
