Need more time to file report in coal scam case: CBI told special court

The CBI today told a special court in New Delhi that it will need more time to file the report in a coal scam case against Congress leader and industrialist Naveen Jindal and others. Special CBI Judge Bharat Parashar directed the agency to expeditiously file its probe report, latest by 24th of this month. The court said that sufficient time has already been granted to CBI. <br/><br/>The court was informed that the agency's director had granted approval to the outcome of further investigation and only the final report is now to be prepared for filing in the court. The case also involved former Minister of State for Coal Dasari Narayan Rao and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Madhu Koda as accused.
