The Centre has said that there is a need for legislative mechanism and criminal law provisions to tackle the menace of cyber crimes.<br/><br/>Addressing a seminar on cyber and network security on Wednesday, Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju said that legal and institutional support, as well as capacity building of law enforcement agencies require cooperation of all stakeholders.<br/><br/>Mr Rijiju said exponential growth of usage of technology has also exposed the vulnerability of various institutions to imminent threats like cyber attacks, which can severely cripple vital systems.
