<span style="color: #222222;">Tamil Nadu Food Minister R.Kamaraj has said, necessary steps would be taken not to affect the Universal Public Distribution System being followed in the state if the "One Nation One Ration" system is to be followed. DMK member AV Velu while moving the adjournment motion in the state Assembly in Chennai today said, the scheme would further increase the debt burden of the state that is already reeling under severe financial stress. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In his reply Minister Kamaraj said, Tamil Nadu is the only state in the country that implements universal public distribution, providing free rice and subsidized sugar and dal to all households. He assured that the system would continue to be in force.</span><br />
