<br/>The North East Congress Committee (NECC) has on Tuesday sought the intervention of the Prime Minister following sharp rise in violence in Delhi against students and youths hailing from the North East Region, despite an assurance by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. According to the general secretary of the committee, Sharif Uz-Zaman Laskar, a delegation of NECC on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister decrying the failure of the administration in checking attacks on North-easterners.
