In Assam, 330 villages in Dhemaji district, are still reeling under water. Flood water affected around 1 lakh, 80 thousand people who have taken shelter at high embankments and relief camps. The Health department has deployed medical teams along with necessary medicines. Official sources said that so far, 10 cases of Malaria and Encephalitis have been reported in Dhemaji. AIR Correspondent reports that rescue and relief works have been intensified in the affected areas.
