In Jammu and Kashmir, nearly 60 percent polling has been recorded till 12.00 PM in the four blocks in Kashmir valley which went to polling in the multi-phased Panchayat elections in the State. Keeping in line with the earlier five-phases, people in large numbers exercised their right to franchise to elect Panchs and Sarpanchs in the four blocks of Langate of Kupwara, Gangmarg in Baramulla, Khag in Badgam and Larnu in Anantnag districts.
