Nearly 30,000 farmers have benefitted from paddy procurement under Kharif Marketing Season 2021-22 so far. A quantity of two lakh 87 thousand 552 Metric Tonnes of paddy has been procured benefiting 29 thousand 907 farmers with Minimum Support Price value of 563.60 crore rupees. Out of the total, one lakh 46 thousand 509 MTs of paddy have been procured in Haryana and one lakh 41 thousand 43 MTs of paddy have been procured in Punjab.

Paddy procurement in Kharif 2020-21 has almost concluded with the purchase of 894.24 lakh MTs of paddy. About 131.14 lakh farmers have been benefited from the procurement operations with MSP value of one lakh 68 thousand 832 crore rupees. Paddy procurement reached all-time high level, surpassing the previous high of 770.93 lakh MTs in Kharif season 2019-20.
