Nearly 200 protesters in Bahrain stage demonstration near US embassy

In Bahrain, hundreds of protesters are camping at the capital's Pearl Square calling for sweeping political reforms in the country.Reports say nearly 200 protestors on Monday demonstrated in front of US Embassy calling for Washington to support their campaign for greater political freedom. Protestors in Bahrain want 2002 constitution be scrapped, which they say gave too much power to the monarchy.Meanwhile Omani protesters maintain vigils in Sohar city’s Earth Roundabout demanding a clampdown on corruption in the Gulf state. The Sultan has already fired eight ministers in two rounds of cabinet reshuffle, announced unemployment allowance and pledges to create jobs.
