There are nearly 14210 vacancies in All India Radio and in Doordarshan . All India Radio has about 8460 posts vaccant. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, minister of state in the Information and Broadcasting Ministry C M Jatua said the shortage of staff was affecting the functioning of Prasar Bharati. He informed that the proposal for setting up of Prasar Bharati Recruitment Board for recruiting employees and for framing recruitment Registrations Rules in respect of Prasar Bharati employees is under consideration of inter-ministerial group.
