People of North eastern states fleeing has stopped in Bangalore and reduced to a trickle in Tamil Nadu. In Karnataka, over 18,000 police personnel kept a vigil in the city with Ramzan also celebrated today. Additional Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Suneel Kumar said the situation is absolutely peaceful and normal.In Chennai, the number of North East people leaving the city by trains was noticeably reduced after four days. A senior railway official said there were a very few people from the Northeast today at Chennai Central station. A Lok Sabha MP from Arunachal Pradesh Takam Sanjoy today met Tamil Nadu Chief Secretary Debendranath Sarangi. He expressed satisfaction over the effective law and order measures taken up by the state government over the issue.
