NDRF, SDRF carry out rescue operations in flood-affected in Rajasthan

<span style="color: #222222;">In Rajasthan, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot conducted aerial survey of the Biparjoy-affected areas of Barmer and Jalore districts today. Mr Gehlot visited Chauhtan in Barmer to review the situation and met the affected people.<br />''<br />''He also visited various places including Sanchore in Jalore district to take first-hand information. Mr. Gehlot took a review meeting yesterday at his residence regarding the damages caused due to the impact of Biporjoy.<br />''<br />''The Chief Minister issued instructions for conducting relief work in collaboration with the Air Force and the Army.<br />''<br />''Akashvani correspondent reports, Due to the impact of Biporjoy, 192 millimeters of rain has been received in Barmer district, 419 in Jalore, 464 in Sirohi and 318 millimeters of rain has been received in Pali district.<br />''<br />''There has been some relief since the rain stopped yesterday. But hundreds of villages and towns are still submerged, many houses have collapsed and power supply has been affected.<br />''<br />''17 teams of SDRF and 8 teams of NDRF are continuously engaged in rescue and relief work in the affected areas. Two columns of the Army have been deployed at affected areas. </span><br />
