In Assam, three persons, including two National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) militants and a college student were killed and six injured in separate violent incidents in Kokrajhar district today. Two NDFB ultras died on the spot when heavily armed miscreants fired indiscriminately on them at Mukuldang under Gossaigaon police station in Kokrajhar district.<br/><br/>Official sources said the assailants dumped the bodies of the two militants belonging to ceasefire group of NDFB under a bridge in Mukuldang area. The miscreants fired indiscriminately on a timber-loaded truck sensing that the persons inside the vehicle had seen them committing the crime. The driver of the truck and three labourers were injured in the firing. One of the labourers, a college student, later succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital. Police have launched a massive hunt in the area to apprehend the culprits.<br/><br/>In another incident, a police home guard received serious head injuries after being hit by another policeman with his service rifle at Kachugaon police station in Kokrajhar district today.<br/><br/>In a separate incident, a 70 -years old person- Kari Mukhiya received burn injury after activists of All Koch Rajbongsi Students Union (AKRSU) set afire a Tata mobile vehicle plying along the National Highway at Kholobari under Serfanguri police station in Kokrajhar district. Sources said Mukhiya, a vegetable vendor, was on his way to Ramfalbil from Kachugaon along with two others when they were stopped by some youth who later torched the vehicle.
