NDFB militants killed in Assam

In Assam, two militants belonging to the banned National Democratic Front of Bodoland(NDFB) were killed during an encounter with security forces at Aodang Bazar in Kokrajhar district this morning.<br/><br/>On getting some specific intelligence inputs, a joint team of police and army conducted a search operation at Aodang bazaar area when they came across three youths moving on two bi-cycles. <br/><br/>On seeing the security personnel, the youths fired at the forces. In retaliation the security forces also opened fire injuring two of them. One cadre managed to escape. The militants are reported to be from the Ranjan Daimary faction of the NDFB.<br/><br/>The injury rebels were rushed to Kokrajhar Rupnath Brahma civil Hospital but the doctors declared them brought dead.<br/><br/>Security forces recovered two 7.65 mm pistol, 4 live bullets, 2 empty cases, 2 Bi-cycles and a bag from the slain militants.<br/><br/>The slain militants are yet to be identified.
