In Assam, an extremist belonging to National Democratic Front of Bodoland was killed in an encounter with security forces at Bhergaon in Udalguri district on Saturday morning. <br/><br/>According to Army sources, the slain extremist belonged to the Ranjan Daimary faction of the outfit. One nine MM pistol, one grenade and some amount of explosives have been recovered from the extremist.
