Ruling NDA's candidate for the post of the President Ram Nath Kovind today sought support of MPs and MLAs from Madhya Pradesh in Bhopal for the election. <br/><br/>In a meeting of BJP MLAs and MPs at CM House, he said that he has had a long association with Madhya Pradesh. External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said Mr. Kovind has been chosen as the NDA candidate due to his abilities and not due to his caste. <br/><br/>Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar and Thawarchand Ghehlot, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other senior BJP leaders were present in the meeting. <br/><br/>Three independent MLAs have also announced their support for the NDA candidate.
