NDA Presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu reaches Lucknow

She met senior leaders of NDA, including MPs and MLAs, as well as leaders of various political parties to seek their support for the election. Uttar Pradesh, where the BJP has a thumping majority in the current Assembly, contributes a big chunk of votes for the party in the Presidential electoral college.<br />'' <br />''Murmu's visit to Lucknow came a day after the joint Opposition Presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha visited the city and met Opposition MLAs and MPs. Mr. Sinha had said that if he is elected, he will stop the ruling party from toppling elected state government and put an end to misuse of government agencies within 24 hours of him being sworn in as the President of India.</span><br />
