Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Harshwardhan today said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi led NDA government has dedicated 70th year of Independence to those freedom fighters, war heroes and martyrs who had sacrificed their present to secure future of the nation. <br/><br/>Addressing a function at Hussainiwala border near Ferozpur, he said that the motive of these celebrations is to pay homage to the martyrs and to strengthen the nationalism in citizens of India. Highlighting the achievements of two years of NDA government, the Union Minister said that due to many historic decisions, nation has once again regained the confidence of international investors.<br/><br/>He said that government is working in a direction of ensuring development for all by providing equal opportunities, employment opportunity to youth and doubling the income of farmers in 5 years. <br/><br/>on this occasion, Union minister for Justice and empowerment Mr. Vijay Sampla thanked central government for giving many prestigious projects and educational institutes to Punjab which has given a leap to the development of the state. <br/><br/>Before that Union ministers paid floral tribute on Shaheedi Smarak of Shaheed Bhagat singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.
