NDA demands immediate recall of Karnataka Governor for his alleged unconstitutional acts

The National Democratic Alliance, NDA, led by senior BJP leader L.K.Advani met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi on Monday and demanded the recall of Karnataka Governor H.R. Bhardwaj for his alleged unconstitutional acts. Briefing media persons later, Mr. Advani said that he also demanded that the Prime Minister should reject the reported recommendation of the Governor for imposition of President's rule in the state. Mr. Advani said that the Prime Minister had assured him that no unconstitutional step would be taken with regard to Karnataka developments.The Karnataka Governor has sent his recommendations to the President after the Supreme Court quashed the disqualification of 11 BJP and five independent legislators by the speaker of the Karnataka Assembly in October last.
