The 2 -member team of the National Commission for Women who investigated the molestation incident of a girl in Guwahati, is likely to submit a report today to the Chairperson of the Commission.

The Commission already demanded exemplary punishment within six months, for all accused.

They recommended to form a Special Fast Track court. Police so far arrested 7 people while six are still absconding.

AIR correspondent says that the next course of action will be decided on the basis of the report of the Commission.

Assam government also formed a committee to enquire the issue.A Special Task Force has been formed to look into the matter.

Raids re being conducted by police in neighbouring states also to nab the absconding person. Police announced a cash reward of 1 lakh rupees for providing information of the main accused. He was already sacked from his job.

Various civil society organisations and student community on Sunday gathered in Guwahati to protest the incident.
