<span style="color: #222222;">The National Commission for Women has taken cognizance of West Bengal's Birbhum incident and asked Director General of Police, West Bengal to personally intervene and take strict action against the culprits. The Chairperson of NCW, Rekha Sharma has written a letter to DGP West Bengal and SP Birbhum in this regard. She has also sought immediate arrest of all the accused of committing this horrific crime. Ms. Sharma said that the action taken in the matter must be intimated to the Commission within 24 hours.</span><br />
