The National Commission for Women, NCW, has ordered a probe and sought a report from the administration in connection with the Noida incident involving two sisters who remained self-confined in their apartment for over six months. Talking to reporters in New Delhi, the NCW acting Chairperson Mrs Yasmeen Brar said the commission may constitute a team and visit the spot. Sisters Anuradha and Sonali, both in their 40s, were found acutely malnourished and dehydrated when they were rescued by police and an NGO on Tuesday from their apartment in Noida. Anuradha died on Wednesday at a hospital during the treatment.
