The Chairperson of National Commission for Women Rekha Sharma attended a capacity building training program for women vendors in Imphal along with Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh today. The training program was organised by National Commission for Women in collaboration with Manipur State Commission for Women.<br />'' <br />'' Speaking in the inaugural session of the program, Smt. Rekha Sharma said that women of Manipur are taking active part in every activity in Manipur. Women had already been empowered and as such the need of the hour is women led empowerment where women show the ways for development to others. She said that women vendors of the state need to be aware of e-marketing to sell their products and it will not limit their market to the state only. She also said that the training program would also provide knowledge of e-commerce and ways to avail loans from banks under various MSME schemes of the government.<br />'' <br />''During the program the Chief Minister led the others in observing one minute silence as condolence to the departed souls of persons who lost their lives in the recent massive landslide tragedy in Noney district.
