The Home Ministry has invited the state director generals of police and the chief secretaries of all the states for a meeting to on the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC) issue on the 9th of next month.

Earlier, the Home Ministry decided not to operationalise the NCTC on March first. In a letter to chief ministers, Home Minister P. Chidambaram had said that the next steps on the NCTC would be taken after the meeting of police chiefs and heads of state anti-terror units.
