The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights,NCPCR, has stressed on delivery of speedy justice to rape victims and demanded strong action against perpetrators.
Taking up the issue with Haryana government over the recent rape incidents in the state, the NCPCR Chairperson Shanta Sinha said that the child rights body feels that along with legal action there is a need to look at programmes for prevention of crime against girls.
Mrs. Sinha said the Commission also feels the need for empowerment of girls to resist any harassment, abuse, stalking and other forms of sexual violence at home or outside domestic settings.
